My first attempt at a yarn wig for my plush dolls. Lessa has three different types of yarn mixed together for her wig. I used the tutorial from Crafty Sheep's blog http://starrysheep.com/crafty/?p=103. It was super easy and the results, I think, are great!

This looks very nice. I was planning to use the same exact tutorial for my dollie's hair. Was it easy?
ReplyDeleteYeah, it was pretty easy. I didn't use the tissue paper on the top layer and it worked fine as well. The only thing I would recommend is to not try to "cheat" like I did and make sure the bottom layer has all the yarn colors you plan to use and to make sure it's pretty full. I had to go back through and tack down some of the bottom strands of the top layer because I didn't have all the colors and the head wasn't completely covered.
